Coastal scenery and sandy beaches: The weather is hot
and dry for most of the year, rainfall for the area occuring usually
in February. The coast has many wide sandy beaches and marinas
and water sports facilities.
Places to visit: Andalucia is a region renowned for its
hospitality. Here you find splendid examples of architecture with
Moorish influence, and historic towns such as Ronda, Cordoba and
Granada.
The El Chorro lakes and gorge: This spectacular area of
natural beauty is perfect for adventure holidays and is well known
to many climbers, walkers and mountain bikers. Visitors to the
the lakes can enjoy the peace and tranquility and birdwatchers
will be interested in the Griffin Vultures that nest in the area
(the birds are protected and are being encouraged to breed).
El Torcal Natural Park: Considered one of Andalucia's
best nature reserves. Visitors have the opportunity to see rare
fauna and flora and birds such as eagles in their natural habitat.
Mountain biking: Bikes are available for hire. There are
guides offering their services taking parties on caving trips,
guided walks and climbing.
Horseriding: There are Equestrian centres with horses
for hire, treks and riding lessons. In the rural areas of Andalucia,
the beautiful Spanish horses can often be seen in the fields and
out on a ride.
Golf: The glorious weather plus fabulous views of the
Andalucian countryside is part of what makes golfing holidays
in Anadlucia very popular. For golfers there is a choice of very
fine golf courses on which to play golf whilst on holiday in the
area.
Entertainment and nightlife: Marbella and Malaga offer
plenty of variety in entertainment, shopping and nightlife.
Malaga airport: Modern airport, conveniently located outside
Malaga city, with motorway and ring roads making it easy for visitors
to get quickly to and from their holiday destination.
